Fried Egg Salad (Home made!)
It's okay to treat yourself every once in a while in a restaurant.
But as you know, I am always giving tips to save a little bit of money by making some things at home.
I was craving a nice egg salad today, so I decided to do it myself.
Let me tell you, if you had to order this meal (only) outside, I am sure you will spend at least $25 (with the drink included).
Earlier this week, I went to the grocery store, I bought:
- a big box of organic field green salad mix for $7.49
-a box of cherry tomatoes for $4.99
-the box of eggs I bought cost me $2.59 (there were 6 eggs in there)
-I usually buy whole grain bread, but once in a while with a salad, I like having ciabatta rolls (they are so good). the brand I buy is "ACE bakery ciabatta rolls" for $5.59 (they are 8 rolls in there.
-if you are like me and like to use a little bit of butter to fry your eggs, I like the "President unsalted butter" ($4.69).
I had my meal today with organic apple juice (regular apple juice is too sweet for me). the brand I bought (KIJU) cost me $2.99
See, at the end of the day, when you go grocery shopping, you can make several dishes.
